Opensolaris.org is up, where Sun is releasing a large quantity of code for Solaris. Neat! Solaris is based off of BSD4.1, if you look back far enough. Way, way far. (Thanks Slashdot.)

I thought SunOS was based off BSD, but at some point all the BSD source was replaced with Unix source, and then it became Solaris? As sort of a measure by Sun to stop the “Unix wars”… Although the irony would be that much of the Unix source was BSD source.
