Hasso Tepper has synced sensorsd(8), the sensor framework in DragonFly, with the latest version in OpenBSD.
Would it not be more accurate to say, “synced sensorsd(8) with OpenBSD,” or something similar? While it is true the two share code, the code on that particular component is mostly from OpenBSD, not mutually developed, ne? Not that OpenBSD doesn’t take DragonFly’s bwi(4), but its’ more them taking DragonFly code than sharing it.
I didn’t think “updated” implied a codevelopment model; it was brought from one version to a newer version. However, “sync” sounds better cause it starts with the same sound, and I’m all about alliteration.
