Eee and BSD

Gerard van Essen found an appropriately titled page: EeeBSD, talking about running FreeBSD on an Eee PC. The issues appear the same for NetBSD and DragonFly - networking is the only real issue. Anyone familiar with my interest in small computers will realize I am this close to buying one of these little things.

Get one. I bought a 4GB version not too long ago and I’m loving it so far.

And the cloudbook (http://www.everex.com/press/) seems to have Realtek based networking built in. So maybe it’s a better choice.

If half the stuff doesn’t work, then what’s the point? Seems like half the drivers are beta and stuff like that. I’d totally get one if everything was supported (including the webam - an area where there’s very little support under BSD) and in the base system.
